BRICKWORKS SAYS

Situated not far from the thrumming centre of Tottenham is a two-bedroom flat, which excels at homely warmth courtesy of characterful features and inviting spaces in which to nestle. Take, for instance, the living room, with a handsome fireplace that draws you in and makes for a cosy centrepiece. It is also flooded with light thanks to its position on the first floor and the broad double windows. And thanks to the bay and the layout, there are interesting nooks to inhabit.

At the back of the home, the U-shaped kitchen is conveniently laid out to maximise the use of space. Vibrant turquoise metro tiles are mirrored in the contemporary bathroom, which enjoys a touch of indulgence thanks to the spa bath. In addition to the encaustic-style floor tiles, wooden worktops and panelling on the main bedroom ceiling, the flat is a delightful array of textures, with pops of colour that bring it to life. And the cherry on top is the large and lovely shared garden. West-facing, it's the perfect spot for a sundowner.

Mount Pleasant Road is in the constantly evolving neighbourhood of Tottenham, with more and more people flocking here for the independent bars and cafes, global cuisine and tight-knit community. But it's not all life and soul. There is peace to be found in the green spaces of Lordship Rec and Downhills Park or the Walthamstow Wetlands a little further afield but still in Tottenham (despite the name)!

THE OWNERS SAY

We've absolutely loved living here and are going to be so sad to leave the flat, the building and the area, and all the happy memories we've made here. It's such a cosy space, especially when you've got a fire going in the winter. It feels like a cocoon but, at the same time, really close to all the great stuff in South Tottenham with the option to zoom into central on the Victoria line.

We love our local pubs - the Palm, the High Cross and the Beehive, cafes - Cafe Lemon, Pasero and With Milk – and parks, and have really come to feel we're part of a community here. It's rare for us to be out and about for a day in the area without bumping into someone. We've made great friends in the building, and it's been brilliant always having someone on hand to collect a parcel when you're out or check on your cat when you're away. We hope the next residents are just as happy here as we have been.
