We have really cherished the light in the house. The spacious open-plan area downstairs is flooded with sunlight in the mornings through the big sliding glass doors. It's a joy - especially in the spring and summer - to wake up with a coffee while bathed in warm sunshine. Then, after about 6, the evening sun streams in from the other side through the Venetian blinds in the kitchen and bedroom.

A quick shout-out to our local coffee shop, Good As Gold. It's been a refuge, an occasional work spot, and an indulgent treat. As well as serving snacks and brunch, it turns into a fantastic restaurant in the evenings. We will miss it and our lovely home.
