THE OWNER SAYS

This is our family home – first viewed on the day I went into labour with our first child. We’ve had 12 happy years here raising our two boys and our home has grown with us. We particularly love the light, the high ceilings and original features and took care to maintain the sense of space and calm as we extended. We have an outstanding school nearby, which the boys have loved. We regularly enjoy the village feel of Stoke Newington Church Street and Clissold Park, and are fortunate to be close to Springfield Park, the River Lea and the Leyton Marsh nature reserve.

BRICKWORKS SAYS

Set over multiple levels, this wonderfully-proportioned apartment has been refurbished to celebrate its late 19th-century character. An elegant reception room replete with large stained glass bay is bathed in rosy light and shares a floor with the main bathroom, a bright workspace and spare bedroom. The clean, contemporary kitchen-diner across the way, opens straight onto a sun-trap of a decked terrace with steps down to a secluded southeast-facing garden full of mature planting (and a shed).

Further up the exquisite staircase, an extension into the loft has created split levels with private and spacious bedrooms. One, currently a kid’s room, and another with an en-suite shower room alongside a third: a cosy reading nook-come dedicated home office.

Osbaldeston Road, a gently curving avenue of handsome Victorian homes, sits within the Northwold and Cazenove conservation area and between the neighbourhoods of Stoke Newington and Upper Clapton. Despite its proximity to those bustling and eclectic high streets, the flat instils a sense of calm, lying only a few minutes from Springfield Park and Clapton Common. Beyond the River Lea, Walthamstow & Leyton Marshes beckon for walks and weekend adventures.
