The staircase is a thing of beauty; elegant black spindles and the Mahogany handrail spiral up between the two floors, seamlessly linking them together.

We’re especially fond of the kitchen: its shaker blue units, marble worktop and bright Moroccan-inspired tiling come together to create a fresh and ‘en-vogue’ aesthetic.

The architecture of Erno Goldfinger continues to divide opinion to this day, but there is little doubt his own home on Willow Road is an exemplar of its type. Two NT properties can be found nearby – Fenton House and Burgh House as well as the Freud Museum, which is Sigmund's old home, or Keats’ House – the poet’s former residence and now a museum. Indeed, the side streets are littered with blue plaques for John Constable, Daphne Du Maurier, DH Lawrence, Edith Sitwell, Richard Burton and Peter Cook amongst others.

We have loved living in our beautiful flat and will miss it when we're gone!

Everything about it feels special – whether you're curled up on the sofa in the living room where it's always so light and airy; sitting at the desk in the study, watching the parakeets in the big tree in the garden; or up on the roof terrace on New Year’s Eve, watching fireworks exploding in the sky across the city.

And of course, we'll miss Hampstead, with its coffee shops full of writers; the independent boutiques; arguably the best butchers in London, and all the well-known neighbours you see on the high street. Then there’s the Heath itself, which feels like a little piece of rugged countryside buried in the middle of London – beautiful both in the summer sunshine and winter snow.
